Ms Martinaitytė's interests and capabilities can be described by her multifaceted higher education from Kaunas University of Technology; Moscow Management Academy to Moscow State University resulting in the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences of Vilnius Technical University (1993) as well as by her experience ranging from membership in local and international organisations (e.g. in the Board of European Banking Training Network), contribution to EU, EU Phare projects, USAID training and bilateral assistance programmes, and her professional experience as Head of Department of Economics at Vilnius Technical University; Program Director with Open Society Fund - Lithuania (G.Soros Foundation); and Director of Lithuanian Banking Training Center (Institute). Ms Martinaitytė's CEEC specific experience focuses on academic, research and personnel cooperation in FSU, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
