Jānis Leja

Following graduating in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Latvia in 1993, Jānis joined VAS Latvijas Gāze (national gas utility) where he worked as the head of international relations department. In 1995 he took post-graduate diploma course in management and economics at Oxford, which was followed by full-time MBA studies at Henley Management College, UK. From 1996 to 1999 he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers financial advisory services advising number of local and international companies on privatisation, fund raising and mergers & acquisitions issues. This was followed by one-year industry experience in the capacity of CFO for Latgarants insurance company. Since July 2000 Janis leads e-commerce department at Lattelekom SIA where he is responsible for development of sustainable e-business strategies in both retail and business segments.
