Since 1973, when first joining Ericsson, Karl Alsmar has gained a broad experience from various international assignments in Singapore, Saudi Arabia and in the USA. Between 1988 and 1993 Mr. Alsmar was General Manager for the Public Telecom's division of Product Management in Sweden and later Senior Vice President, Corporate Function Strategic Product Management. 1993 he was appointed Vice President of Ericsson Business Networks AB and responsible for the Business Unit Network Engineering.
For the last three years he has held the position as President and Country Manager of Ericsson in Germany.
Karl Alsmar was born in 1949 and has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, complemented with a General Management Program at INSEAD in France.
