Ole Jørgensen

Ole Jørgensen was appointed Sr. Vice President/Corporate CIO in August 2000 with the responsibility for is/it strategy. He also became responsible for coordinating Statoil's e-business initiatives May 1 this year. He joined Statoil in 1996 and was a member of the mgt. team for the corporate ERP (SAPR/3) implementation in the period April 96-July 2000. Prior to joining Statoil Mr. Jørgensen worked 16 years for Mobil Corporation, both in Norway and the UK. , mainly focussing on process and system design and implementation. He educational background is from Rogaland Regional College were he studied Accounting and Administration.
