Peter Warner joined Europay International in 1994 and is Director of Corporate Security. In this capacity he is responsible for minimising Payment Scheme fraud losses through the development, implementation and maintenance of a coherent fraud and internal security management strategy and operational plan.
The Corporate Security Division develops, implements and supports a wide range of risk prediction products and services for European Banks and provides a consultancy service to assist banks identify and implement appropriate fraud control programmes. Other responsibilities include fraud investigation, risk assessment consultancy services, IT security management and the physical security management for all Europay sites.
Mr. Warner has worked for most of his professional career in the payment systems industry, starting with Access in the United Kingdom in 1974. At the time Access was acquired by First Data Resources (FDR) in 1991, Mr. Warner had progressed to Assistant Director, Systems Development.
In 1992, Mr. Warner was transferred to FDR's head office in Omaha, Nebraska as Director of Cardholders Systems Development. He returned to Europe in 1994 to join Europay International as Group Head of Project Delivery.
A native of England, Mr. Warner is married with three children. Prior to working within the payment systems industry he trained in accountancy and served with the Metropolitan Police Force.
