Rain was one of the founders of Hansabank in 1992, and among its main shareholders. Until 1999 he was the Vice-Chairman of the Management Board of Hansabank Group and the CEO of Hansabank Markets. Apart from the management experience from the largest banking group in the Baltics, he has personally been responsible for some of the regions largest transactions. These include the first internationally placed equity issue of a major Baltic financial group, numerous debt and equity offerings of a major Baltic financial group, several cross-border and local acquisitions of a major Balticfinancial group etc. He has graduated from Tallinn Technical University and taken executive training courses in Harvard Business School.
