Mr Carlson has been a prominent commentator since 1994 on the development of the Internet in Europe, tracking and analyzing the impact of the communications revolution across the Continent. He founded nowEurope and the nowEurope Digest (then called Online Europe) in 1995, the same year he founded iSYS Internet Solutions, an Internet service provider and web services company based in Budapest, Hungary. In 1999, Steve helped launch First Tuesday Budapest. He is now central Europe coordinator for First Tuesday and one of 11 elected representatives of the First Tuesday city leaders network. Steve is a native of California and a graduate of California State University at Chico.
