Executive Chairman, Compaq Computer Europe, Middle East & Africa

Werner Koepf is Executive Chairman of Compaq Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this role he is responsible for the implementation of Compaq Computer International in Zurich, Switzerland and is Compaq's official representative in driving forward relationships with European Governments and European employee representative bodies. Koepf has held various senior level management roles at Compaq including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Compaq Computer Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), vice president and general manager of Compaq EMEA and six years as vice president and managing director of the General Business Group. Immediately prior to joining Compaq, Koepf spent four years as Chief Executive Officer and chairman of European Silicon Structures B.V. Previously, he spent 22 years with Texas Instruments where he rose to become vice president for the European Semiconductor Group. Born January 8, 1942, Werner Koepf holds both an MSc in Economics from Munich University and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from St. Poelten, Austria.
