In Anticipation Of The Conference

The new hotel is performed in the British retro style, and it accommodates 56 top-level rooms, a greenhouse, a spa and a restaurant.

The hotel’s reconstruction design was developed by the London design company RPW in co-operation with the local architects’ office Sarma&Norde. It should be added that all furniture is supplied from the United Kingdom.

The project was started one year ago, and its total investment amounts to 8 million US dollars.

The accommodation of the foreign participants and honorary guests of the Baltic Business Conference in highest standard hotels is the responsibility of the travel agency VIA Riga. It is interesting to note that the participants of the EBRD Board of Governors’ Annual Meeting and the Baltic Business Conference will be the first guests of the newly opened Hotel Grand Palace on Pils street in the Old Town of Riga.
The main building of the University of Latvia (LU) at 19 Raina Boulevard will host the working sessions of the Baltic Business Conference. The main building of the LU is also one of the main venues of the EBRD Business Forum that will take place in the framework of the EBRD Board of Governors’ Annual Meeting.
The reception of the Baltic Business Conference is scheduled on 19 May at the newly erected Blackheads’ House. The latest estimates show that the reception could be attended approximately by 500 people – participants of the conference and invited guests from Latvia and abroad.
