MEETING OF THE ADVISORY BOARD
On 16 November a regular meeting of the Advisory Board was convened
concerning the organization of the Baltic business summit on the occasion of the EBRD
Board of Governors’ Annual Meeting. The final version of the event’s title - Baltic
Business Conference - was approved during the meeting. The conference time was
scheduled for 19 and 22 May. The organization teams involved in the process of arranging
this event and their leaders were appointed as well.
SELGA LAIZANE GOES TO LONDON FOR A WORKING VISIT
On 23 November, following an invitation of the EBRD, Selga Laizane,
Director of Birojs 2000, took part in the Constituency Meeting for Latvian, Finnish
and Norwegian Representatives arranged by the EBRD Executive Director. Amid other topics,
the course of preparation for the EBRD Annual Meeting in Riga was discussed.
EBRD REPRESENTATIVES VISIT VENUES
To discuss the organization of the Board of Governors’ Meeting the
EBRD representatives arrived in Riga on a working visit between 6 – 10 December. During
their stay they visited all the venues of the EBRD Meeting in Riga, got acquainted with
the records of all the necessary technical tasks, partially decided the spatial
distribution of the required services and equipment. The EBRD representatives also met
with several Latvian company representatives and entrepreneurs who will offer their
services, for example, printing services, mobile telephone communications, etc., during
the Meeting.
