The Baltic Business Conference is an international conference which
will give the opportunity for Latvia as the host country to focus on its development and
needs in the international environment.
BALTREL supports the development of a common electricity market
in the Baltic Sea region and does that by joint studies financed by the EU and by joint
discussions between leading people of the electricity supply companies as well as between
political leaders and authorities in the Baltic Sea region. I am sure that Latvia as well
as the other Baltic States supports closer co-operation in electricity supply between each
other as well as neighbouring countries.
